About

Somatics is an embodied approach to healing that helps people reconnect body and mind through awareness, movement, and therapeutic touch. By addressing the nervous system as well as muscles and fascia, somatic therapy reduces stress, eases chronic tension, and restores natural mobility. This gentle yet powerful method supports lasting balance, resilience, and a deeper sense of well-being.

Somatics is the study and practice of embodied awareness.

It recognizes that our bodies are not just physical machines, but living expressions of experience, memory, and perception. Somatic approaches bring gentle attention to how we move, feel, and inhabit our bodies, helping us release both conscious and unconscious patterns of tension and develop new pathways of ease and vitality.

In practice, somatics means noticing not just what hurts, but how we move through pain or stress, and how the nervous system can relearn balance. Whether through gentle touch, guided awareness, or therapeutic movement, somatics offers tools for reconnecting body and mind—supporting healing that is both structural and deeply personal.

Integral Somatics is a whole-person approach to bodywork and embodied healing that weaves together science, presence, and philosophy.

Drawing on Ken Wilber’s Integral Theory, this perspective holds that true healing and growth involve multiple dimensions of being:

Interior (subjective) — our felt sense, emotions, and inner experience.

Exterior (objective) — the measurable realities of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.

Individual — the unique body-mind of each client.

Collective — the social, cultural, and relational contexts we live within.

In Integral Somatics, manual therapy is not just about reducing tension or fixing dysfunction. It’s about engaging the body as a living bridge between these dimensions—where a release in fascia may also shift how we breathe into our story, and where cultivating awareness in movement may ripple outward into relationships, resilience, and meaning.

Sessions integrate advanced clinical techniques (manual lymphatic drainage, craniosacral therapy, neuromuscular/myofascial work, etc.) with a somatic orientation that honors the inner wisdom of the body, while also situating healing in the broader tapestry of life—our development, challenges, and potential for transformation.

Put simply: Integral Somatics is bodywork as embodied philosophy—precise and scientific, yet expansive, compassionate, and an integration of the whole human journey.

My goal is to help everyone feel at home in their body, and to have that home feel as comfortable as possible. Coming from a background in science, I have limitless passion and thousands of hours of advanced trainings, mentorships and certifications to support achieving these goals.

While every session is unique, each appointment rests on a trauma-informed foundation that involves nervous system integration and regulation. My work is consent driven, and through careful communication, I provide education that promotes longer lasting and sustainable changes for the body, mind and spirit, i.e. the whole person.

My journey as a bodyworker was catalyzed by my own participation in somatic trauma work.  The sense of sovereignty and serenity that followed my return to home in body, mind and spirit illuminated and codified a lifelong passion for bodies and inspired a dutiful desire to help the people within them feel the best they possibly can.  Formerly a research scientist with a background in physiology and neuroscience, I bring extensive practical knowledge and experience along with infinite curiosity and reverence for the immense complexity and beautiful diversity of bodies to my practice.

Extensively trauma-informed and intimately acquainted with both logical and empirical approaches to problem solving, my strength lies in my intuition, trusting nature and the unknown along with sensing and honoring the rhythms unique to every being.

I am proudly a humble, tremendously passionate conduit for harmony and healing.

Clients Say,

It’s all about education in my mind; because I was educated on the awareness of my own body, and pain and what it can do, it resulted in me just chilling out. It’s so much less work! And I’m in so much less pain!
